The New York Times bestselling Wings of Fire series continues with a thrilling underwater adventure--and a mystery that will change everything!

The lost heir to the SeaWing throne is going home at last.

She can't believe it's finally happening. Tsunami and her fellow dragonets of destiny are journeying under the water to the great SeaWing Kingdom. Stolen as an egg from the royal hatchery, Tsunami is eager to meet her future subjects and reunite with her mother, Queen Coral.

But Tsunami's triumphant return doesn't go quite the way she imagined. Queen Coral welcomes her with open wings, but a mysterious assassin has been killing off the queen's heirs for years, and Tsunami may be the next target. The dragonets came to the SeaWings for protection, but this ocean hides secrets, betrayal -- and perhaps even death.

This will be more lore filled. ======================= King: Dumb (yeah, pretty surprising, huh? He’s part of the royal family of the air-wakanda thing. A black crown will be given to him, and will stay till he dies.) Queen: Mind (this is Dumb’s mother. She’s been queen for a LONG time.) Prince: Intellect (this dragon is light grey, symbolizing his weaker good morals. However, he’s still a good guy.) Princess: Foresight (this one is a lot more grey, and plans to unalive Dumb. Trust me, you do NOT want to be on her bad side. She’s like Sepheroth but a girl-dragon.) ======================= Lore: Thousands of years ago, IntelligentWings thrived and lived on the surface of Earth along with the rest of dragons. They helped build structures, lead utopias, and maintain peace. That is, until the other dragon tribes feared their own smarts, thinking they would eventually control the world, even though they never planned to. They soon banned the tribe out of the surface (that means any area of the ground). Underground wasn’t an option, due to more dangerous terrain, and they couldn’t breathe underwater, so, to the sky! There, they built an advanced civilization above the clouds, with an impenetrable force field that only their kind can exit and enter through. All was good, until the war happened. Tribes grew word of this utopia, and decided to destroy it, cuz why not? Well, the IntelligentWings didn’t like that, so they sent armored IWs to fight back. They succeeded, however, the tribes soon would work together to overthrow them. So what was the most logical and sane way to win? Blow up their own city. Why? Well, they’re outnumbered, matched, and can’t fight, so, yeah. Their plan worked causing the supermassive explosion called Black ‘n White. Mainly due to the sky turning dark, and the only visible light was the giant white explosion. ======================= That’s all! Sorry for the long review. 🤷 - Von DaDerpHerp the 87th

{ Chapter Six } The world was black and it seemed like it was getting darker, but the dark faded and he found himself in the forest. Sprout was sore and exhausted as if he had been flying for days, there were several dragons in front of him. Yellow, orange black… wait, Silkwings don’t have black on them, that must mean, He thought, Hivewings, but what the heck are they doing here? He thought then his brain clicked. the Tirreti, they must know the Queen sent me on a quest, but how? “Okay Leafwing, you’re gonna tell us where you are heading” One of the male Hivewings stepped up and said in a menacing tone. I can’t lie to them, i would really want to but how? Maybe i can say.. getting supplies for the Queen? Okay, i’ll try it. He thought. “Getting supplies for the Queen” Sprout said confidently and looked over to see his brown bag but it wasn’t there. “Out this far away from the Leafwing Kingdom? We know Queen Vlurin, we know she wouldn’t send a subject out this far.” The Hivewing rolled his eyes and from behind him was his bag, he opened it and pulled out the map. “Yeah, getting ‘supplies’ for the Queen.” The Hivewing scoffed. We need to get out of here and now, is Locust here? He thought and turned his head looking for Locust. He whispered “Locust?” But there was really no point on whispering because the Hivewings were right in front of him. One of the female Hivewings came out from behind, but something was different about this particular Hivewing. She has two wings. He thought, I have no time to acknowledge an interesting Hivewing. He thought and got the courage to ask them where Locust was. “Where is my friend?” Sprout asked confidently. “Oh, the ‘Leafwing’?” One of them asked. Most of the Hivewings nearly laughed. “You really didn’t catch on? We should’ve expected better for a Leafwing” The male Hivewing laughed. “What do you mean ‘catch on’?” Sprout asked in confusion. “There was no other Leafwing” They scoffed. Sprouts heart nearly dropped. What do they mean? did she escape? did they ever see her? was she ever caught? He thought as the Hivewing with two wings walked in front of him with a worried face. “Hi, Sprout” Said the two winged Hivewing. “How do you know my name? i never told you guys my name.” He said in confusion, his brain clicked; That IS Locust. He thought in misbelief. “How could you?” Cried Sprout. “I.. i used you so we can get the Hazel Egg..” She said in an unreadable tone. “How did you know?” Asked Sprout. “A thousand years ago, we had an Animus named Widow, she was a hybrid of our kind mixed with a Silkwing named Marsh. Not to long after they got together, Marsh died of a Leafwing attack, yes, it is ironic since her name is ‘Widow’ Anyways that’s not the point, she was driven mad ever since Marsh died. She was trying to hunt down the Leafwing that killed Marsh but never found them, she used a spell, a rather smart spell for all future Hivewings; ‘All my grandchildren will be given the gift of eavesdropping on all Leafwings, just whisper the name and close your eyes and you shall hear the Leafwing you chosen.’ So that’s pretty much how we got you.” Locust explained quickly. Sprout was impressed but furious “How could you? I trusted YOU, i picked YOU!” Sprout yelled, trying to loosen the rope around his arms so he can get at Locust. “I’ve been betrayed… i’m royalty, and i STILL picked you, you were a peasant and i still wanted to be your friend..” He said “So what are you gonna do now? kill me and steal the map?” “Sounds like what a traitor would do to a nice and kind Leafwing.” He added. “We absolutely HATE Leafwings. What do you expect, they killed our great great great great Grandfather!” The male Hivewing spat. “Not all Leafwings are bad like the one that killed Widow.” Sprout pointed out. “Whatever! it’s getting dark, i suggest you get some shut eye, because, oh boy do you got a long day tomorrow!” The Hivewing laughed and so did the others. They all walked away and left Sprout on the hard bug filled forest. Locust peaked at Sprout and had a sorry face on. He whispered; “It’s all your fault, i HATE you.” Sprout was filled with rage that he’d been betrayed. Locusts heart broke and she walked away. Next Chapter on Moon Rising :D -ExhraDragonet

So. This book is really good. I love the maturity shift Tsunami went through while being with her mother. It was so good. And I love Riptide. He’s so adorable. But the main reason I’m here is to continue what I started. WHAT IF? Edit: I added one. So, my what if for this book is: “What If Tsunami was the Animus?” I feel that if Tsunami were the Animus, it would definitely change a lot, like for one, if she told her mother about it, she would DEFINITELY be put on a leash and basically kept imprisoned in the Kingdom of the Sea, taking the place of Anemone in the actual series. I also feel the Tsunami would be in lots of danger, for if and when Blister arrived, she would threaten that if Tsunami didn’t use her magic for her, she would kill her friends and her family, although you could say that if that happened, Tsunami would use her magic to kill Blister, but she wouldn’t be able to do that, one, because that might cause large problems in the war, and two, she wouldn’t want to waste her soul. I do feel that if Tsunami were an animus, she would have played a very big role in the first book, with being able to create small enchantments to help escape the Sky Kingdom, overall maybe making the ending a little better. My next one kind of ties into the previous book. What if Tsunami never killed Gill? This would be a game changer!!! For one, Tsunami wouldn’t have the gilt of killing her own father, and two, he would still be alive and be King and be able to be rescued. I don’t have much else to say about this one. Idk, that’s what I think. But that wraps up my second WHAT IF. I currently have one in the first book and one in the fourth, pls. Tell me what y’all think. Thanks - SilverMoonlight256

Ancestors of them are nonexistent all we have is (spoilers for the flames of hope) lizard/freedom and she is not a help. Here’s my take: Seawings to leaf wings and leaf wings to rain wings because seawings can be green and also have scales that react to light and have similar horn shapes to leaf wings,a group could have split off and made leaf wings. Rainwings most likely came from leaf wings because their scales react to light. Icewings could have come from a group of sand wings that got forced into the tundra because they have pale colors and venom would freeze so they lost the tail barb and gotten tail spikes. And there is probably little fresh not frozen water in the ice kingdom so descending from a tribe adapting to that would be useful And mudwings are the least specialized so are probably the first Bye -mamba the rainwing

PROLOGUE Neptune focused herself into a quiet position, and started to flap her wings. She was focusing her gaze on a fat turkey, plump and feathery. She felt her mouth water as she crept up on it. Right before she flew into the air to ambush her prey, she heard a squawk. The turkey jumped and flew off. Neptune felt anger rush through her veins. “Neptune! Come over here!” Shade yapped. “Whatever it is, it must be important! Because it just cost me my dinner!” Neptune spat. “The eggs!” Shade squeaked. Neptune’s anger quickly ebbed away and she darted over to her sister. She stared down at three shining eggs. They had cracks slowly inching down them. She and her sister watched as the cracks reached the bottom of the egg and broke open. The first egg revealed a tiny bright purple NightWing with a black stripe going down its back and up its long, lean, tail, and it's white dots sparkled on its stomach. The second hatchling had almost black scales and bright beautiful green eyes. The final hatchling had extraordinary purple and black misty scales, and purple eyes. It had a strange white moon on its forehead, and a small tail. Suddenly, a light purple NightWing broke into the nursery. “I’ve had a dream! Danger will come, but once the violet gazed moon rises, all will be healed from the treacherous darkness.” Neptune looked back at the elderly light winged she-dragon. “You’re talking nonsense!” She objected and looked back at the third hatchling, her mysterious violet eyes sparkling like a pool of water on a hot day. “The last hatchling… we must protect her!” The pale winged dragon claimed. “I told you already Dusk, it’s just a dream!” Neptune protested again. Yet Dusk was the only NightWing in the nursery who understood what power the galaxy-like hatchling held. Flash the hybrid ✨
