I’m amazed at how much this book has taught me. I’ve been wanting to use FAM to naturally family plan with no hormones for some time now, but I was always scared because I didn’t feel like I had enough knowledge to avoid pregnancy until I’m ready for a second baby. But now I am ready to start the journey! I feel so empowered as a woman. This book really taught me every detail about how my body works. Loved this book so much!!

This is an amazing book. Would high recommend for those trying to conceive or avoid pregnancy. Only complaint is that it can be a quite repetitive.

The information about periods and how they’re not what we’ve all been lead to believe is great. I wish someone like this were in charge of teaching girls about their bodies instead of religious nuts. On the other hand, it’s been proven time and again that dieting harms hormones (especially in woman of childbearing age) and BMI has been so badly debunked, I have no idea why anyone is still using it. Neither of these is good advice. Also, this book seems to do some diet shaming. “Yeah it’s hard to lose weight, but if you choose to think of it as nurturing your body, it will be fine.” The underlying message being, if you’re hungry or having cravings, it’s your fault; if you don’t lose weight, it’s your fault. This is where she lost me.

I feel annoyed that after 30 years of life, no one explained a woman’s body this way. This book was fascinating, enlightening, and informative. I’ve been telling everyone about it- especially those struggling with fertility. It is a must read for all women.

Combined everything I learned from this book with LH test strips and was pregnant in 2 months. This book teaches so much I didn’t know and will be useful for whether you’re trying to get pregnant naturally or avoiding it. It teaches about your cycle and those weird fluids on our underwear. We were dealing with male infertility and after months of having sex on or around “day 14,” I discovered that I ovulated earlier and by the time we were having sex my body had already released the egg and the egg was gone. Give this book a try, you won’t regret it!

As I was reading this book, I couldn't believe that I didn't already know these things. I now recommend it to all my friends - every woman should more about know how their bodies and cycles work. I have used this method for birth control for almost a year, 100% effective, and it has kept me a lot more in tune with myself. Highly recommend!!

Loved everything about this book. I wish they taught some of this health information in school as this would have saved me years of confusion. I'm using this book to help me as I get off of the birth control pill and avoid pregnancy, but will later surely return to its pages when pregnancy is my goal. I found the section on hormonal issues very illuminating, and now feel much more confident about my own health moving forward. If there is a problem, my doctor and I will be well armed with useful information gleaned through the FAM method.

The female body is amazing, learning all of the important (and free) signals my body gives about impending ovulation was so helpful. The book was informative, easy to read, and kept my attention! Thank you so much!
